Lunch Break Lock

Record: 124-113-3 (+3.6 units)

Recap:

Loser. The game was pretty much dead in the first five minutes. I don’t get it sometimes—5/6 to start from deep? How does that even happen? It was over after that. It didn’t matter that it was pacing at half. When a team starts 5/6 from deep, you’re dead. They couldn’t miss all game. Florida also couldn’t fucking rebound. I lost because Texas Tech was on fire, and Florida was asleep on the boards. So many fucking second chance points—it was atrocious. I wasn’t expecting that and I don’t know how to predict that. Florida also wasn’t doubling in the paint in the second half, and the Tech bigs had a field day. I knew Toppin was insane, but how do I predict him hitting two threes when he hadn’t made a single one in the tournament? Even with all of this, I still only lost by four fucking points. Four points. Incredible. Fucking incredible. This one stings because I got in my own head. I’m not taking much away from this because I still believe it was just bad luck with the threes and the boards, but there were other options. I should have gone with the second game. I liked Alabama’s under, but I got scared and bitched out. I didn’t expect this kind of shooting from Tech. I don’t know if I should ever increase my units again. This one hurts. That’s that though. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

Groundbreaking Analysis:

I’m doing it once again. I’m standing with a Houston under. I’m also standing with a Tennessee under. We’re rolling with two heavy hitters for Underians. I don’t care how low the number is—I’m firing at it. I don’t give a shit that I said I should stop doubling. I have to double this. The total opened at 120, and now it’s at 127. That’s an extra seven points, and in this defensive matchup, that could be worth five minutes of game time.

I love this pick. This game is going to be slow, defensive basketball, where both teams know they have to make every possession count. The nerves will be at an all-time high, and every shot will feel like their only look all game. They’re not going to run up and down the court because they can’t. Both teams have to play slow and commit to elite defensive basketball. I love this pick. I love that everyone is taking the over. I’m riding with the Underians. I’m with the people who know defense wins games. Both teams play lockdown defense, and they’re going to do it again today. Give me this under. Give me a double-unit winner. Under. Under. Under. For Underia. 🏴
