I like this play a lot. Josh Allen always comes out running week one. This defense is one of the best which will cause Allen a lot of problems throwing. This will make Allen run a lot more. Toward the end of last season he was averaging around 50 rushing yards and I think that continues Thursday. Even if McDermott intends to rush him less this year, this is one of those games where he scrambles for a lot of yards. Rams having a top ten secondary will make Allen have to run and scramble for some first downs with a lot of 3rd and longs. This is an ideal matchup and I love this pick a lot and running through all the stats this is the play. Even if it looks bad late all it would take is one Allen scramble to turn this into a winner. Allen is a football guy and will be willing to put his body on the line running the ball in this game. Especially in week one Allen will have his freshest legs needed to get these yards. This is Allens year to show the league why he is the second best QB to Mahomes and he does that by running tomorrow.
