This is a recap of my Week 1 NFL and Week 2 CFB.
Thursday
One of the best days of the year. You bet too many props and lose most but you have a hell of time. Had that easy winner in Josh Allen rush yards. But when you are a degen like me you find a way to still lose some PrizePicks. This was a pretty boring game but it does look like the Bills will lose to the Chiefs again in the playoffs. t was nice to see Allen throw some ints and it is never a bad day when the NFL is back on that first Thursday. Ended up 1.7 units.
Friday
Friday during football season is the day for the real degenerates who have a problem. I don’t have a problem so I took the day off and actually decided to be a normal human for once. I hope I am never in a spot betting on Fridays but that can always change and probably will.
Saturday
Saturday is one of those days in gambling where you can really see who the real degens are. Like the casuals get their day ruined by Alabama barely winning or seeing the trash in South Bend lose to Marshall. But when you start your Saturday and it gets ruined by a Southern Alabama/CMU that’s when you know it’s real. Having to not only tell people you want to watch this game but then saying you have money on it shows how crazy you are. Also having to find a bs stream to watch the game between two shitters and then lose essentially in the first quarter is what Saturday degening is all about. But then to end the day with a win with USC and feeling like a winner was nice even though it turned into a late sweat. By the end of the day I do what every degen does and convince myself it’s a win going even, although I didn’t because of the vig. Nothing like cracking open a cold one Saturday night surviving and going “even” knowing there is a full slate of the best football tomorrow. -0.1 units.
Sunday
NFL Sunday is the best. When I think of what heaven will be I think it’s going to be waking up to an NFL Sunday and doing nothing but yell at the TV. Day started out great, I had Ravens heavy and after the 1Q was pretty much cruisin. The first big winner of the year and needed it. Especially after my huge Panthers TT took a hit with that bs Browns game. Football is back when you see two horrendous officiating calls and knowing this will happen every fucking week and there is nothing you can do about it. Still lost every PrizePick every which way was nice too. Lost a decent amount of units on the over in the Packers/Minnesota. I mean missed touchdown after touchdown brought me back to reality after winning in the morning slate. The Chiefs crushing the Cards and shutting everyone up too was very very nice. Listening to Raiders fans complain about Carr for the millionth time always makes my day. SNF was pretty boring and as per usual lost a PrizePick. Overall pretty good Sunday I mean youI can never complain about a Sunday of football it’s THE BEST. +1.63 Units
Monday
Took it easy on Monday. Did the annual go to youtube type Mahomes and look at everyone in sports media take back what they said about KC and Mahomes having a bad year this year. Lost a PrizePick on MNF, but it was worth it seeing Wilson lose. This is the first year in a long time where every announcing prime time crew is phenomenal and it was great hearing Joe Buck on MNF. All this AFC West offseason talk and to see the Raiders and Broncos look awful was really really nice is my takeaway from week one. Overall good first week of football. I am now brain dead until Thursday.
