St. John’s couldn’t miss from deep and Creighton pushed the pace. It was dead. St. John’s was third in defensive rating in the country and they were terrible in the paint. They also gave up so many fucking open looks because their switching was off. This bet was dead in the first half and then had a glimmer of hope at the end of the game but I knew it was dead. I knew the Gambling Gods were just teasing me. I hate this. I hate everything. I just want to win. I don’t want to feel like shit. I should have gone Nebraska because this one was too obvious. Fuck. These are depressing times. I can’t win a bet and there isn’t much on the board. I have to be sharp and I was sharp finding this play. Two teams that can use a win here and will play defense. Northern Iowa is only a game out of first in the conference and Murray State can position themselves in a better spot for the conference tourney. Both teams should come out and play defense. Both teams are also near the bottom in terms of pace and I am praying that doesn’t change today. This is their second matchup and although it hit over last time Murray State shot 57% from three and both teams shot over 50% so all we need is for one of those stats to change and this goes under.
