Lunch Break Lock

Record: 137-132-5 (-15.6 units)

Recap:

Winner. It was close but it was a winner. Pretty simple top half of the inning. Three easy outs. Then came the bottom half which was a little tricky. First a single then a stolen base and then he got to third. 2 outs and runner on third not ideal but it wasn’t dead. Thankfully the Reds are shit and grounded out. God bless this bet. We are back to the NRFI. All the way fucking back. That’s the first step in making a run is getting one to hit. Now it’s time for more… a lot more.

Lock: Cubs/Padres NRFI 1u to win 0.9u

Groundbreaking Analysis:

Let’s go back to back. Two great first inning pitchers. Two great pitchers in general. Both pitch really well against the top of the order of both teams. Both teams have had an average start to the season. Both are average in the first inning but they are not hitting shit today. This is it. This is where I begin my run. I love this pick. I looked at every matchup and this was the best one by far. It wasn’t juiced. The only part I am concerned about is the fact that the last two games in this series went NRFI. Can it go 3/3? I think with these pitchers it does. These teams are also currently hitting above their last season first inning average and that has to regress. This is where it begins. This is where I get hot. I can fucking feel it. For all of Underia.

Unbiased Stats:

Padres average 1.53 runs less at home in the first inning

Cease only allowed 11 runs in 33 1st innings last season

Cubs average 0.23 runs less away from home in the first inning

Hendricks only allowed 9 runs in 24 1st innings last season
