Lunch Break Lock

Recap:

Loser. Pain. Horrific loss. Painful loss. Bullshit loss. I deserved to win this one even though my read wasn’t great. The Knicks are absolutely brain dead. Those idiots blew it. They should have fouled Tatum while up three, but instead, they let him hit the shot and send it to overtime. And then they lost. Idiots. Fucking idiots. It wasn’t my best read, but it still should’ve hit. I got screwed in the first three quarters by KAT and Porzingis. Neither team had an answer for either of them and both went off. The pace wasn’t terrible, but I never got that nice stretch of bad shooting that I needed in the first three quarters. Finally, by the end of the third, I got it. I had 60 points to work with in the fourth quarter, perfect. With six minutes left, all I really had to do was avoid overtime. The Celtics had the lead and were killing the clock perfectly. Then they blew it. They let the Knicks come back, and I got screwed. Tatum got that three point foul call, and I thought overtime was a lock. But they teased the hell out of me because he missed one, and the Knicks were up by one with the ball and thirty seconds left. All I had to do was avoid exactly what happened: a terrible Celtics defensive possession that gave up a layup, followed by a killer Tatum three to tie the game. I had no faith in this Knicks team to close out the final shot. They’re the Knicks, for fuck’s sake. Only the Knicks have Josh Hart take the last shot. This team was dead the second they didn’t foul up three. That’s all you had to do was keep fouling up three. You burn clock and either win the game or at least make it a tougher shot with less time. Nope. Instead they let the best player shoot an uncontested three. They lost it in overtime too. Fucking bums. The game didn’t go how I expected as it was way more competitive but it was right there. That last minute shot was atrocious. All I had to do was avoid one play out of all the bullshit plays just one in the final minute, and I avoid OT. Unbelievable. What a brutal way to end the streak. I was really on one. But I can’t let this kill me. I have to move forward. I have to keep pushing and not let this bullshit atrocious loss get to me.

Lock: Maple Leafs/Lightning U6 1u to win 0.9u

Groundbreaking Analysis:

I’m taking a breather from the hardwood. After yesterday’s heartbreak, I need a day to recover. I need a refreshing game on the ice. Even though this is a regular season game, it’s going to feel like a playoff matchup. This game is massive for the division. The winner likely takes the division title and with that comes a much softer matchup, avoiding the defending champs, which is huge. Both teams are going to lock in defensively. I actually like that their previous matchups haven’t gone under because that means we’re due for one in this perfect spot. The Maple Leafs have been playing in low scoring, defensive battles lately, and I don’t see that changing here. The Lightning have been playing in the same style recently, and it all sets up perfectly for the under. Also, the Leafs are coming off a loss last night against the Panthers, and they have to avoid that playoff matchup at all costs. They have to play their hearts out on defense tonight. I love this spot. We’re getting a win on the ice. This is playoff hockey… sort of. Give me this under. Under. Under. Under. For Underia 🏴
